Developed sites for design firms (Web World Online and Cornelson Design) from previously designed prototypes. CONTRACT/FREELANCE WRITER – 2002 to 2005

Researched, wrote, and produced a variety of scientific and marketing publications including web content, news articles, medical brochures, press releases, white paper, and grant application.

Wrote and edited 30 pages of web content to raise funding for bio-technical research (Institute for Systems Biology). Wrote press release and ten-page convention program for local fantasy convention attended by over 700.

Researched, developed, and executed releases for extensive suite of product documentation for wireless software query product, including user guides, reference guides, product specification, quick reference cards, and training materials.

Worked closely with project and product managers, and software engineers to determine requirements, content outlines, reviews, and schedules for documentation releases.

Proactively rewrote and reorganized data requirements interface document, which enabled clients to enter data into wireless software product more efficiently.

Researched, wrote, and edited hardware and software information for 17,000-page user guide used by telephone companies to accurately program, operate, and maintain digital switching system. Documented and tested related software products.

Managed software documentation project involving eight writers and 29 documents. Served as lead training coordinator for technical writing department of 18 — led sub-team that determined training requirements, selected attendees, and scheduled classes for department.
